Setting up Your Paypal and Adsense Accounts
To get paid for writing online you must have a Paypal account. What I have found through my conversations with those who are new to working online is that they are intimidated by signing up for anything, mostly due to fear that their information will be stolen, or that they will get a bunch of spam. Neither of these things will happen with Paypal. It is a totally secure site, as secure, or even more secure, than online banking. In fact, that’s what it is, and much more.
Just register here for your new Paypal account. (Make sure to select PREMIUM as the type of account you want rather than Basic. You can’t get paid without the premium account, and it is totally free, basic is just for those who want to shop online.
The sign up process will ask you if you want to attach it to your bank account or add a credit card. You can do this, but you don’t have to. If you want the money you are paid immediately, this is the way to go. However, what I did, and what you can do, is request a Paypal debit card. This card is available to anyone with an account. It will come in the mail in a week or so, and you can use it like any other bank card. The instant money is deposited into your Paypal account, you can spend it!
Paypal is also a way to buy stuff online, just like a credit card. It is owned by Ebay, so selling and buying on eBay becomes a very simple process once you sign up for both. Just read the information in the Paypal website and it will tell you everything you need to know. However, if you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to leave me a comment and I will walk you through the sign up process.
As for Adsense by Google, this is how you will get paid revenue share on sites such as Bukisa and Xomba. There will be ads served immediately on the articles you have published and the more people who view and read your articles the more money you make, so it’s imperative that you sign up for Adsense if you want to make any money with your articles. Of course, you do not have to have an Adsense account. You can still post articles for the benefit of getting exposure for your writing and building your resume, but why not make money in the meantime? Just follow the instructions for signing up. Again, if you need help let me know and I will guide you through the process of setting up your Adsense account.
