I bet you are reading this post title and thinking, WTH? Chippendale dancers? Well, I am snowed in in Texas, with temperatures colder than Alaska, and I am watching a special on Chippendale Dancers on channel 21 while I work. We do what it takes, lol. The visitors who came to Dallas to watch the Super Bowl this Sunday are really freaking out about this Texas snowstorm. They thought they'd get a break from this crap when they left Green Bay and Pittsburg. Oh, well, Mother Nature had different plans.

Guest Post: Four Strategies for Persuasive Writing

Most folk don't enjoy having to write proposals, memos, reports

and the dozen other things that seem to get in the way of their

*real* work. Nonetheless, if it's your job to do it, you need to

be able to do it well.

To do this, we need to look at how to construct a persuasive
argument. To write persuasively, you need to answer four key
questions before you start:

1.  HOW ARE YOU PERCEIVED BY THE PERSON READING YOUR PROPOSAL?

    If you received a stock-market tip as an unsolicited e-mail
    message would you take it seriously? Of course not. What,
    though, if you received a tip from a long-time friend who was
    a rich and successful investor? Would you take *that*
    seriously? Almost certainly.

Writing Site Hiring and Free Ebooks

I found two interesting things that I wanted to share with you today. First of all, I stumbled across a site that is hiring writers, and they pay up to $30 per page. You have to take a short test, it's easy, and you have to answer several questions and upload your resume.

The other thing I found was a site giving away 130 ebooks for those who have Kindle, Ipad, and several other reading apps. Here is the link. The company is Kaplan Publishing.
