Write a Fairy Tale, Pays .10 a Word!

I was looking for magazine markets today and came across this great site, Fairy Tale Magazine, that actually pays .10 a word for fiction and $50 for poetry!



Their first issue will come out in March and they are seeking submissions starting Monday, Feb. 21st-Thursday, Feb. 25th. Nice, short window of opportunity. So this weekend, why not try your hand at writing a Fairy Tale? The theme is Rumplestilskin. I am in, what about you? We spend so much time writing articles and blog post that are business related or to pay the bills, why not write something that is just totally fun?

When I first started out writing fiction in 2003, I didn't just jump in, I studied. I couldn't afford creative writing classes so I did the next best thing and so can you! Write Your First Novel With NanoWriMo

In my last post discussing writing articles online I said I would be back with information about becoming a fiction writer. This is the absolutely most perfect time to begin writing your first piece of fiction because NanoWriMo started on Nov. 1st.

What NanoWriMo is in a nutshell is where a bunch of people commit themselves to writing a novel in 30 days in November. It doesn't matter that you are just learning how to write fiction. In fact, you are exactly the writer this program was created for. You just write, you don't worry about anything but putting down thoughts and words.
